Girls High School Hockey

Girls high school hockey has been been growing every year. There are currently 29 girls hockey teams in the 08-09 hockey season. Many of the schools have to co-op in order to have enough players and be competitive. There will be a Team Wisconsin for the girls in the 2010 and 2011 season.

AAA Girls Hockey

There are 2 year around programs for girls AAA hockey. The are the Madison Capitals and the Wisconsin Wild. Both are are great programs and have had many girls go on to play at the Division I and III programs. There is a big commitment to be made from the parents and daughter both money and time. The teams do play some of the best competition around at there own level and the league that they play in is heavly scouted. It really comes down to the players and parents in what the are looking to get out of it.
